Public Security Report: July 10 - August 14, 2023

Public Security Inc. officers report all incidents to management, including those that lead to rule enforcement such as noise or parking violations. For more information, please go to the Management Overview page.
BURGLARY: Garage Court 13, July 10.
Resident reported a break-in but declined to share details.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Court 14, July 15, 3:30pm.
Loud conversation reported.

NOISE COMPLAINT: East Circle, July 16, 6:15pm.
Loud use of power tools in a garage reported. Resident was reminded work must be done between 8am-5pm.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON THROWING FIREWORKS: Court 5, July 19, 10:05pm.

THEFT: Court 16, July 20, 4:04pm.
A resident reported a package taken from her doorstep.   

BARKING DOG: Court 7, July 24, 9:15pm.

RESIDENT INJURY, DOG BITE: July 25, 5:15pm.
A resident was bitten while attempting to collect a loose dog on the property. The resident was treated at Urgent Care; the dog was eventually apprehended.

TRESPASSING: Multiple Courts, July 26, 9:10pm.
Residents reported a group of ten non-resident teenagers making noise. After taunting Security then running inside the property, the youths were eventually confronted and told to leave.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Court 2, July 27, 6:21pm.
A non-resident on a bicycle was reported.

TRESPASSING: Court 5, July 27, 10:45pm.
A resident reported a group of teenagers talking loudly and trying door handles. Security located five non-resident juveniles on the property, who fled upon approach.

NOISE DISTURBANCE, SECURITY STAFF: Court 11, July 29, 4:00am.
A resident reported loud music coming from a security vehicle in the wee hours of the morning. Public Security spoke to the officer and assured management that this would not happen again.

GARAGE DAMAGE: Garage Court 4, July 31, 4:05pm.
A support beam for garages #119-120 was reported splintered, presumably by a delivery truck.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Court 2, August 1,  6:00am.
A resident reported that his neighbor was playing music too loud, part of an ongoing dispute.

STOLEN VGOA Property: Sycamore Ave. Gate, August 1, 7:50am.
Security noted a missing lock and chain on the gate near the Maintenance Yard. It was replaced.

NOISE COMPLAINT, VEHICLE REPAIR: Garage Court 7, August 2, 4:15pm.
A resident reported noise from vehicle repairs; the complaint escalated to a heated exchange between residents. The vehicle in question did not have a residential sticker and was cited.

GARAGE DAMAGE: Garage Court 10, August 3.
Damage to Garage #368 was recorded by Security.

BARKING DOG: Court 14, August 3, 10:15pm.

TRESPASSING: Court 17, August 4, 6:15am.
A woman was reported sleeping in the bushes near the Maintenance Yard. She left the premises before Security could make contact.

NOISE DISTURBANCE: West Circle, August 7, 11:29pm.
Loud singing and guitar playing reported. The singer was told to lower the volume.

FATIGUED DRIVER (non-resident): August 8, 5:35pm.
An officer discovered a driver asleep at the wheel with his engine running near the Clubhouse entrance. Initial attempts to rouse him were unsuccessful but eventually the driver woke and drove off. Security reported the driver to LAPD as possibly impaired.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Court 5, August 9, 4:05pm.
A resident complained that her security system was being activated and deactivated by someone else. Nothing was reported missing or disturbed.

FALLEN TREE: Court 16, August 9, 6:18pm.
A resident reported a fallen tree, possibly resulting in vehicle damage. The tree was removed the next day.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: August 9, Court 10, 8:39pm.
A suspicious person was reported ringing doorbells, only to be startled by the Ring camera flash, whereupon he left.

AGGRESSIVE RESIDENT: Court 12, August 14, 5:18pm.
A work order visit by staff erupted into a belligerent confrontation; resident was aggressive and used expletives toward the staff member and security officers, as well as toward a female inside the house.
