The Tree and Landscape Committee advises and makes recommendations to the board on matters pertaining to the preservation, rehabilitation and maintenance of both the trees and landscaping of the Village Green grounds. Members of the committee participate in walkarounds of the property with various vendors, board members and/or management. The Committee monitors the activities of the vendors for landscape, tree trimming and tree removal. The Committee engages with the horticulturist and the arborist vendors via reports, meetings and walk-throughs to monitor the health of the living landscape of Village Green. The Committee also facilitates and supervises the planting of new trees and greenery as recommended or requested by vendors, residents or committee action.
Residents can make requests regarding landscaping needs through Management's work order system.

VG MASTER PLANTING GUIDELINES
The Village Green Board, Tree and Landscape Committee, and Management are working with landscape design company RIOS to develop comprehensive irrigation and planting guidelines for the 67-acre VG campus. Until these guidelines are finalized and approved by the board of directors, the tree and landscape committee will only be approving select landscape modification requests from residents, such as requests involving safety concerns. We anticipate master planting guidelines will be finalized in 2023.
However, if there is a bare area around your unit or you wish to plant a tree in your patio, please contact the Village Green Office staff or submit a Maintenance Work Order request BY CLICKING HERE. |
This video details the need and desired outcomes for the years-long project as presented by RIOS.
