Role
The function of the Budget and Finance Committee is to study all factors affecting Village Green costs and income, monitor current expenses, assist the board of directors and/or the manager on any specific problems that may arise relating to financial matters, and make recommendations to the board concerning efficient handling of these items. It contributes to year-round planning.

Activity
- Each meeting we review the most recent Balance Sheet and Income Statement to inspect for potential irregularities. When we find issues, we bring them to the attention of management, the accounting firm, and/or the board, as applicable.
- Our resolutions primarily focus on reducing expenses or easing burden on staff.
- Recent initiatives include: analyzing water usage, opposing reimbursement of individual homeowner insurance policies, reducing telecommunications expenses, tracking golf cart maintenance, simplifying the parking ticket process, and cost/benefit analysis of an earthquake insurance master policy.
