COVID-19 REMOTE MEETING NOTICE

Due to COVID-19, all monthly Board of Directors & committee meetings will be held remotely until further notice. Below are the instructions for joining via computer, smartphone or standard telephone.

Prepare
If you haven't used Zoom software before, you can download it before the meeting. This will allow you to see audio/video of the meeting and give you access to select interactive features.​
Download for desktop/laptop,  iPhone/iPad, or Android.
NOTE: the interactive features and all audio/video will only be accessible at the scheduled meeting time

Board Meeting Procedures
  1. Community attendees will mostly be restricted to listen/view only mode meaning you will be able to see and hear meeting participants but not be seen or freely speak as you would in a conference call.
  2. The primary exception to this is during homeowners comments which begins at 7pm with early sign-up encouraged. Owners who wish to give comment can indicate such by using the chat function or the raise hand function. The host will then call on them one at a time and they will be able speak and possibly turn on their video camera if desired. For anyone dialing in by phone, the host will ask at the end of the homeowner comment period if there is anyone joining by phone only who wishes to speak and give them an opportunity to do so. 
  3. If you are having video stream difficulties, you can use a phone dial-in number for audio and use the app just for interactive features. Check out the Zoom website for more troubleshooting tips.

The Board of Directors is the body of duly elected representatives charged with the responsibility of governing the affairs of the Association.  

ABOUT COMMITTEES

Owners are encouraged to participate in the affairs of the association and to strengthen the integrity of the community by seeking to join a committee.

Committees are appointed by the board of directors and function in specific areas of association interest. Committee members are owners or residents who volunteer their time to the Village Green community, and serve at the discretion of the board.  Adhoc committees are established by the Board as needed.

Whatever your interest, talent or skill set, there is a committee at Village Green for you.

Annual and one-off events that have been organised by the various committees include: Drinks on the Green, the summer jazz concert series, the Easter egg hunt, Movies on the Green, the Halloween party, the holiday cookie decorating and party, fall foliage tours, tree tours, yard sales, patio tours, volunteer appreciation events, staff appreciation events, a water conservation event, an energy saving event, an emergency preparedness event, black history month talks, a container gardening talk, meet the board candidate events,  light up the green event, an earthquake preparedness event and many more.
