Additional traffic safety measures have been installed along the Obama corridor between La Brea and La Cienega. Bollards now define the right-of-way for the left-turn lanes at Sycamore and Obama Blvd. Identifying traffic safety “hot spots” is an ongoing effort.

During a recent LAPD Southwest Town Hall on traffic safety, we learned that:
- In 2024, there were more traffic-related deaths in this area than other violent crimes.
- Reports of safety issues caused by youths on bicycles have increased.
- The process for removing occupied vehicles includes intervention from Parking Enforcement, outreach agencies, and local City Council District personnel. These incidents can take weeks to resolve.
