Join the Tree Committee as we welcome members of the LA Audubon Society on Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 AM at the Club House and find out which ones. We’ll have COFFEE and snacks while we watch a slide show and learn about the birds who call Village Green home, and the ones who just pass through on their migration. Then we’ll head out onto the Green to look for birds!

VGOA Board Meeting Agenda 11/14/17 On October 21 at 10:00 am, join the Board and the Tree Committee as we welcome the Village Green’s consulting arborist, Cy Carlberg, to the Club House for a Town Hall Meeting. Topics to be discussed include:
Ms. Carlberg’s other projects include: LA Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Arborist of Record for the MTA EXPO Phase II and Crenshaw/LAX Corridor and the Pasadena Rose Bowl Village Green resident Daniel Milner created an online petition to extend the boundary of Overnight Parking District (OPD) #560 to include Coliseum Street. Kimani Black in Herb Wesson office is working with the LADOT to create a resolution which will go before City Council for final approval. Please sign the petition to show community desire for this.

Thanks! The Village Green Court Council Jason Lombard will be speaking at the Court Council Meeting on May 3, 2017 at 7pm in the Clubhouse. He is a Community Outreach professional working both public and private endeavors in the Baldwins Hills/Crenshaw area. All are invited to see what the Crenshaw Area will be like in the coming months.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) is offering free emergency training classes Fridays starting May 5 at the Bahai Center at Rodeo and LaCienega. Meetings are from 6-8pm for six weeks. Sponsored by the Baldwin Hills Village Gardens HOA.

Join the Tree Committee on Earth Day, Saturday April 22 at 9:00 am at the club house to spread mulch around the base of young trees throughout the Village Green. This winter’s rains gave everything a much needed boost, let’s keep the momentum going by mulching young trees to help conserve soil moisture. Both our horticulturalist and arborist agree that we need to mulch our trees, so lets do it as a community. If you have shovels and gloves, bring them! Mulch has been donated by C & S Nursery. Recycle items, tires, electronics, electronics, propane tanks,
medications, motor oil. Let’s clean out our garages, and patios. Free of Charge. 9am to 3pm at Sentinel Newspaper parking lot rear back entrance, 3800 Crenshaw Blvd. |
