TRESTON SECURITY REPORT: August 21 - September 14, 2025

Treston Security Officers report all incidents to Management, including those that lead to rule enforcement such as noise or parking violations. For more information, please go to the Management Overview page.

There were more than a dozen coyote sightings between the last week of August and the first week of September, resulting in several calls to security and to animal control. A young female who had seemed to have taken up residence has left, for now. Please be vigilant!
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, Ct. 5, August 21, 11:07 pm.
A caller reported people gathering outside the unit, discussing a possible abduction.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 9, August 22, 12:04 pm.
Caller reported a male acting erratically at Coliseum and Hauser. 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, Ct. 9 August 22, 12:28 pm.
A male non-resident was observed using profanity, and pacing in the roadway, creating a safety concern for pedestrians and drivers. Officers monitored the intersection. After a period the subject calmed.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 14, August 26, 8:18 am. Resident reported a dog off leash; the owner stated they were a visitor. She was informed the property had a leashed dog rule. 

SMOKING, Ct. 6, August 26, 5:14 pm.
Possible smoking in a unit. Security detected the smell of incense.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 1, August 28, 7:49 pm. Report of children setting off a stink bomb.

DISTURBANCE/VANDALISM, Ct. 2, August 28, 8:02 pm. 
Report of juveniles throwing rocks and lighting firecrackers. They fled after breaking the lower glass panel of a resident’s front door. Maintenance was notified for repairs.

VANDALISM, Ct. 1/17, August 29, 6:00 pm. 
Officers observed a group of youths flee southbound toward Garage Ct. 1. A resident reported an attempted patio entry; the group threw rocks, damaged a kitchen window, then fled. LAPD was notified; residents were advised to file police reports.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY, Ct. 5, September 1, 7:50 pm. 
Officers provided assistance to a fallen individual until paramedics arrived.

CIRCUIT TRIPPED, Ct. 1, September 2, 7:53 am. 
A resident reported a garage door not operating. Breaker was reset and power restored.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 15, September 2, 8:24 am. Resident reported a non-resident behaving oddly along Obama Rd. Advised to keep distance; officer responded to assess.

WELFARE CHECK, Ct. 3, September 5, 8:06 pm. Resident requested a check on a possibly left-on stove. Officer dispatched; stove was confirmed off.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, Ct. 17, September 7, 10:05 am.
Report of a male forcing entry through a gate and then leaving. The gate was resecured.

DING DONG DITCH, West Circle, September 7, 6:23 pm.
Officer responded to two reports of children ringing a doorbell and running. One juvenile was contacted and admonished.

VANDALISM, Clubhouse, September 7, 10:54 pm.
Officers heard loud impacts, shouting, and breaking glass outside their office. At the Cloverdale Ave. entrance a person destroyed the planters and damaged the front door. When confronted, subject walked west toward Hauser. Maintenance was notified to secure and assess damage.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, Ct. 12, September 8, 7:32 pm. 
A person was reported riding a bicycle in the garage area and looking into vehicle windows.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 16, September 8, 9:21 pm. Resident reported loud children outside their unit.

DRUNK AND DISORDERLY, Ct. 9, September 9, 1:18 am.
Officer witnessed a person pushed out of a moving vehicle. The woman, a non-resident, seemed disoriented and smelled of alcohol. Asked to leave, she became physical with the security officers, who called LAPD, who took her into custody.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 11, September 9, 4:14 pm.
A caller reported 4 minors being loud and pulling on a light post. Officers did not observe any damage.

GATHERING, Ct. 9, September 9, 5:21 pm.
Resident reported a gathering in Ct. 8, concerned it might exceed the number of people allowed.

DISTURBANCE, Ct. 15, September 9, 6:48 pm. Resident reported a neighbor playing loud music in response to children outside. The resident was asked to turn the music down.

THEFT, Ct. 2, September 10, 5:57 pm. 
Resident reported lug nuts removed from his vehicle’s wheels.

ILLEGAL PARKING, Ct. 11, September 13, 1:41 pm. Resident reported a motorcycle parked improperly in Ct. 11. The rider had become ill while visiting and was transported to the hospital. Resident stated the motorcycle would be moved upon return.

TRESPASSING, Ct. 1, September 14, 3:28 pm.
Two vagrants were observed smoking PCP on a bench. Ambulance responded. One male admitted to medics he had smoked PCP but refused service and exited the property. Officer obtained photos of the EMS vehicle and one individual leaving.
