GKS Security Report: October 15 – November 7, 2024

​TRESPASSING, Court 17, October 15, 11:30 p.m.
A resident reported a transient in the patio. Officers searched Courts 1 and 17, but no one was found.
 
RESIDENT LOCKED OUT, Court 3, October 19, 7:22 p.m.
Security received a call from a resident reporting that they had been locked out of their unit. A locksmith was called.
 
NOISE COMPLAINTS, Court 16, October 19, 7:48 p.m.
A resident reported banging on their front door. After canvassing the area, the subject could not be found.
 
NOISE COMPLAINT, LOUD MUSIC, Court 1, October 24, 4:35 p.m.
Security received a report of teenagers in a vehicle playing loud music and drinking. Four teens were found; they left the property when asked.
 
BBQ SMOKE, Court 5, October 24, 8:02 p.m.
A resident reported barbecue smoke wafting into their unit.
 
TRESPASSER, Court 16, October 26, 9:47 a.m.
A female transient was screaming and making loud noises near a camper parked on Hauser. Officers escorted her off the property.
 
NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 13, October 29, 7:45 a.m.
Security received a call that contractors had begun working in a neighbor’s unit at 7:45 a.m.
 
NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 13, October 29, 11:35 p.m.
A resident reported noise from a neighbor from 10 p.m. continuing until 1 or 2 a.m. Security could not detect anything unusual upon arrival.
 
POWER OUTAGE, Court 4, October 23, 6:15 p.m.
Multiple residents reported no working garage or area lights, including lampposts. Security contacted Maintenance Supervisor Darwin Harry Ruiz, who contacted the electrician. Graveyard shift security increased patrols in the area.
 
SMOKE, Court 9, October 31, 4:30 p.m.
A resident reported a neighbor smoking cigarettes. Officers did not detect cigarette smoke but did smell burning sage or incense.
 
NEIGHBOR DISPUTE, HARASSMENT, November 1, 12:00 p.m.
An officer on patrol noticed a verbal dispute between two neighbors. The officer did not intervene, but as she left, one of the residents confronted her, berated her, and took her photograph.
 
NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 13, November 2, 2:20 a.m. & 2:42 a.m.
Security received calls from a resident reporting noisy neighbors. The responding officer could hear nothing either time.
 
SUNDAY CONSTRUCTION NOISE, November 2, 4:43 p.m.
Security received a call from a resident reporting construction work being done in a unit on Sunday. The security officer pointed out that the handbook had limits on time (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) but not on the day.
 
NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 11, November 2, 1:02 p.m.
A resident reported excessive dog barking.
 
BURGLARY, Court 7, November 6, 7:18 a.m.
A resident reported a burglary and damage to their garage, which prevented it from closing. Security helped to manually operate the door until the garage was secure.
 
CONTRACTOR NOISE, Court 7, November 7, 5:30 p.m.
A resident called saying he was being harassed by a neighbor’s contractor. The resident had approached the contractor to notify them that work should not continue after 5 p.m. The contractor became angry and confronted the resident in a belligerent manner. Security escorted the resident home and warned the contractors to comply with V.G. rules.
