The July Board meeting was held on July 22, attended by 36 people, including eight members of the Board, management, residents and guests. (Manager Sherri Giles was absent; Assistant Manager Maybeen Polanco delivered the Manager’s report).
The Board will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, September 27 to present a draft of the 2026 Budget and to address questions and hear comments and ideas from residents, which will be solicited in advance. See elsewhere in Highlights for submission instructions.
EVCS CHARGING STATIONS
After consulting the Association’s legal counsel, the Board approved guidelines for addressing electric car owners’ desire to charge their cars in their garages. The Green does not currently receive enough power from LADWP, so if an individual owner wants to charge in their garage, the cost of upgrading the entire property’s electrical infrastructure to increase the property’s power to allow for on-campus charging will come at the owner’s expense.
DISPOSING BULKY ITEMS
The Board unanimously voted to approve a Handbook rule change to reduce the number of days bulky and household items are left along Coliseum and Hauser. Residents will be required to schedule a pickup with LA’s Department of Sanitation and only be allowed to place items at the curb on Thursday evenings after 5pm for Friday removal, or risk receiving a fine. The rule change will be sent to owners for the required 30 day comment period before officially being added to the Handbook.
FLOOR MODIFICATION GUIDELINES CLARIFIED
The Board was presented with some edits to the Handbook’s current rules for refinishing, replacing, or altering a unit’s flooring. After some discussion, the resolution was tabled to further refine the proposed language.
