GKS Security Report: September 19 - October 14, 2024

CONSTRUCTION AFTER HOURS, Court 13, September 19, 5:13 pm
A resident reported after-hours construction in a neighboring unit on two separate days.

SQUIRREL INSIDE UNIT, West Circle, September 19, 5:15 pm
A frantic resident reported a squirrel inside her unit. Officers set up barriers to guide the squirrel to the open back door.

SUSPICIOUS MAN, Courts 5 & 15, September 20, 7:00 pm
A resident reported a suspicious man in Court 15. Thirty minutes later, another suspicious person was reported in Court 5. Security was unable to find either subject.

PROPERTY DAMAGE, Court 2, September 21, 5:56 pm
A resident reported that contractors working next door knocked a hole in their closet. The resident was asked to fill out a work order.

RESIDENT LOCKED INSIDE UNIT, Court 16, September 26, 4:36 pm
A resident accidentally locked themselves inside their unit. Because the door required opening from the outside, the resident tossed the key down from the second story to a security officer, who then opened the door.

VEHICLE TOWED, Court 13, September 27, 3:57 am
Security found a vehicle that had been previously cited and authorized to “Tow Without Further Notice.” The vehicle was removed one hour later.

PARAMEDICS ON SITE, Court 9, September 29, 7:20 am
Security assisted a resident who had called emergency services. The resident was transported to the hospital.

TRESPASSER, Hauser & Obama, October 1, 3:01 pm
A Court 11 resident reported a woman with an open skirt on the grass, listening to music. Security discovered the subject in question was a male non-resident, and he was asked to leave.

SUSPICIOUS NOISES, Court 13, October 2, 5:00 am
A downstairs resident whose upstairs neighbor was out of town reported suspicious noises coming from upstairs.

CONSTRUCTION AFTER HOURS, Court 13, October 2, 6:25 pm
A resident reported after-hours work and strange odors coming from the downstairs unit. Contractors were asked to cease work; they left the property.
NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 10, October 4, 7:58 am

A resident reported a child screaming in a neighboring unit. Security advised the child’s mother to contact LAPD for assistance; upon arrival, LAPD determined that the child’s tantrum was a “normal behavioral issue,” requiring no action.

NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 4, October 5, 10:06 am
A resident reported an alarm going off. Security discovered a blaring smoke alarm in Court 4; it was disarmed.

TRESPASSERS SMOKING MARIJUANA, Court 5, October 5, 9:28 pm
A resident reported an unfamiliar vehicle parked in front of their unit with its occupants smoking. Security found teenagers in the car, who were asked to leave.

CHILDREN JUMPING, Clubhouse steps, October 10, 4:46 pm
Security received a call from an unknown resident reporting a small group of children jumping off the Clubhouse steps and doing tricks.

NOISE COMPLAINT, Court 13, October 10, 5:12 pm
A resident reported that construction contractors were playing loud music. They were instructed to turn down their music and comply with the work cut-off time of 5 pm.

VANDALISM, Court 3, October 14, 5:25 pm
A resident reported graffiti on the fence near their patio. Security took photos, contacted maintenance, and asked the resident to also submit a work order to have it removed.
