The Village Green Annual Meeting was held on February 1, 2025, at the Baldwin Hills Elementary School Auditorium, with more than 70 owners in attendance. As of 10:00 a.m. that morning, the election had not achieved quorum—the threshold of one vote over 50% required to proceed with ballot tabulation. The meeting was adjourned to Saturday, February 8, at 12:00 p.m., giving owners one more week to submit their ballots.

Please vote! If you have misplaced your ballot, contact the Office for a replacement. Ballot tabulation will take place in the Village Green Clubhouse beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Forty-seven people attended a long and action-packed Board meeting on January 28, 2025, including all Directors, Management, and representatives from the new security vendor, Treston Security Services, who provided a brief introduction at the start of the meeting.

Other topics discussed include: the 2025 HOA Budget, potential Fractional CFO, roof inspections, water intrusions, replanting plans after building painting, planning for emergencies, and tree priorities.

Additional traffic safety measures have been installed along the Obama corridor between La Brea and La Cienega. Bollards now define the right-of-way for the left-turn lanes at Sycamore and Obama Blvd. Identifying traffic safety “hot spots” is an ongoing effort.

During a recent LAPD Southwest Town Hall on traffic safety, we learned that:

• In 2024, there were more traffic-related deaths in this area than other violent crimes.
• Reports of safety issues caused by youths on bicycles have increased.
• The process for removing occupied vehicles includes intervention from Parking Enforcement, outreach agencies, and local City Council District personnel. These incidents can take weeks to resolve.
